Schedule Update: Milos Raonic to face Lukas Rosol tonight in 2nd Round of Australian Open 2013

Milos is scheduled to play Lukas Rosol on court 13, which is not a televised court.  It will start around 8 or 8:30 PM Eastern Time in Canada (around 10 PM in Newfoundland) since it follows a women's doubles match scheduled to begin at 11 AM local time in Melbourne.  I will keep an eye out for tweets and stuff to see if there's any updates or other info other than what can be found on the live scores page at AustralianOpen.com.  If you'd like, you can follow @MilosRaonicBlog on twitter, where I may also distribute info/pics/etc. if I come across any.

Milos' opponent tonight is famous for knocking out Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon last year.  He is ranked #75, 27 years old, and most recently lost in the Round of 16 and Qualifying Round 3 in Doha and Auckland, to Paolo Lorenzi and Benjamin Becker, ranked 64th and 65th, respectively.

GO MILOS!

  1. When is his 3rd round match!

  2. Rosol is no slouch; this was a nice match for Milos: took a few games to find his legs and his serve, but then gradually estabilished dominance, winning first set with a clean tie-break. A character-building moment in the second set: Milos won an early break, but Rosol broke right back. Steady play from Milos brought him a second break, and the set. Third set was pretty-much all Milos: two breaks. Final score 76(2) 62 63. Next up: Kohlschreiber; will be a test. Good luck, Milos!

  3. Milos was very upset because of the slowness of the Courts after his 1st Round Victory.
